PBS KIDS Jiggle Board

Designed & developed in 2018, this marquee feature highlights the user’s selection of a particular show on the PBS KIDS Game page. They are internally known as the “Jiggle Board” because of their wiggling interactive elements. This feature allows a user to rearrange, customize and play the look and feel of the page. I took inspiration from my youth’s “peel and stick” static cling activities to create this interactive sticker feature.

Working with the PBS KIDS development team, we built a framework and the corresponding template that allowed a single worker to design, develop, and publish in a few hours.

One huge underlining aspect of this feature is to bring joy, surprise, and non-linear play. Because sometimes it’s nice to move things about. Smiling.
